More Google Spamming
Whilst researching some keywords for a client I happened upon a website called "Hazardsign". It's a rather poor website comprised of a mish-mash of strange ideas and misplaced construction. But it does have one page of considerable interest.
The editor had called it his "Word Jumbler". It's a poorly written piece of active server page scripting whereby someone can copy in a variety of text, maybe from a website or a word document, press a button and a page is generated that contains all the words in the document, but in a random order. Although the editor claims this is purely an experiment in programming, he does politely hide the fact it can be used to create keyword rich text that search engines will view.
This could potentially be very dangerous. I spend a lot of time carefully creating and crafting copy for my customers. I spend a lot of time researching keywords to produce text that will be both search engine friendly and useful to the potential cus
This could lead to a whole new round of Google spamming. Every fly-by-night would be website entrepreneur could create a 1,000 page website about their chosen subject simply by copying text from similar, quality websites, and pasting the jumbled nonsense into their web page. This will draw in Google and the other search engines, creating hits. Google will then have to extend and develop its algorithm to try and work out what is quality copy and what is random nonsense. I should imagine that this is going to be quite difficult to achieve.
