Blog is the abbreviation of web log. Blogs are one of the hottest trends on the internet right now. It seems like everybody is doing it. People are starting new blogs at an astounding rate. It is well known that using a blog on your website can significantly increase your traffic and because its search engine friendly your website will rank higher in the results.

Anyone can write any type of blog they want. You could write about the Internet, movies, music, your daily life

Like any website you own, you must do some blog promotion to start driving traffic to your site. For example,

1. Set up a feed on my yahoo.com so your site gets regularly spidered by the Yahoo search engine.
2. Make sure you have an RSS feed URL that people can subscribe to.
3. Read and comment on other blogs that are in your target niche.
4. Submit your blog to search engines.
5. Submit your blog to blog directories.
6. Put a link to your blog on every page of your website.
7. Make a commitment to blog everyday.
8. Write articles to post around the web in article directories. Include a link to your blog in the author info box.
