Is Quitting an Option?
Those of us in network marketing sometimes face the dilemma of whether to quit a business, or stick with it just a little longer. Some believe that quitting should never be an option, but I have to disagree. The only reason that I finally found the network marketing company that I am currently with is because I knew after awhile that the others were just not my cup of tea.
In fact, I had given up on the idea altogether. I was with my current company in the past and things weren't happening as quickly as I thought they should. I left the company and tried a few others. It was only in trying the others that I realized what a gem the first company truly was.
My point is that you should not stay with a network marketing company just because someone tells you that quitting should not be an option. That is only true once you are certain that you have found the one for you. No company, product, autoship, or compensation plan is for everyone. That is why it i
s important that you find the one that you can really stand behind and be proud of.
I know that it didn't take long for me to realize that I didn't belong in the other companies. I kept going back to the first company checking out the distributor websites and the company website and reading their newsletters. There was just something about this business that intrigued me. The top-notch leadership and family-feeling were just not to be found elsewhere.
It is only after finding just the right company for you that you should decide quitting is not an option. Once you find the right fit, you should put forth all your effort and give it everything you've got. After all, you know the names of distributors in your organization making six-figure incomes. You know that if you put in the time and effort they have that you will also be successful.
In a good organization, these people will mentor you and show you the way. When you realize that the six-figure income doesn't come overnight, then you can plan your daily activities in your business knowing that in time, it will pay off in a big way. Patience and persistence are so important in this business. Those who are looking to get rich quick should stay away, because they will be disappointed.
So, bottom line, should quitting be an option? Yes, if you know in your heart that your current business is not the one for you. When it is right, you will know. Follow your instincts. Do you respect the leadership team? Is there a caring attitude among current distributors? Is there extensive training for new team members? Is the monthly autoship reasonable? Are the marketing methods something that you are comfortable with and that you will gladly implement?
There is so much to consider, but when everything seems to fall into place, you will know that you have found your home. Then, and only then, quitting will no longer be an option.
