It is 1.05 a.m. as I sit here and write this.

I have just watched a short video of Marlon Sanders doing a training seminar in London. Being British myself, his over-enthusiasm was just that. Especially when there were only about twenty people in the room. However, what he said made so much sense.

He talks about getting things done. How many times have you started something yourself, only to find you never finish it because you get sidetracked and move onto another project.

For many people, and I include myself here, building your mailing list is like that. You have great intentions of wanting to actually do it, but then something comes along, grabs your attention, and off you go again.

Your mailing list gets put to one side until you return to it at sometime in the future.

I have more than one mailing

list, and most Internet marketers do. Well those who are making money do anyway. So you need to ask yourself a question.

How many lists do I want, and how many do I have right now?

What is your answer?

If you have one then great. You should be concentrating all your efforts to building that list.

If your answer is NONE, then you need to "GET IT DONE" as Marlon would say!

If you are not making a profit with your online business yet, it is more than likely you are not spending your time on your list. You are probably trying to use various ways of selling products through Google Adwords, Safe Lists, Free advertising, or programs that allow you to build a list and email them once every seven days or so, and charge you to be a member!

Marlon talks about basics in his seminar. He talks about how American Football players are taught to catch the ball. "See it in" is what he says.

Business is about doing the basics right. If you are looking around to see what else catches your eye, when the ball actually comes to you, you will probably drop it!

You need an autoresponder to build your list. This is something you MUST have. If you do not want to get one because you have to pay for it, then stop trying to play football without a quarterback or ball!

Firstly, they have been around forever. Secondly, you will get your emails through to whom you send them. Use an inferior one because it is cheaper and you lose 50% of your emails to blacklisted autoresponder companies.

So it is going to cost you $7.95 a month for hosting, and $17 a month for an autoresponder. Regular monthly overheads of $24.95 a month and you have a business. If you are not prepared to pay that, then stop wasting your time, your families time and your friends time. The truth is unless you build a profitable business with your time spent on the computer, you are wasting every ones time.

If you don't have the money to start, then DON'T START. Go away, make some money doing part time jobs and then come back when you have the money.

Don't think you can start with nothing and earn a fortune. If you want to make money online, then you need to spend money first. That is the simple truth even if it hurts and smashes all your dreams to pieces.

Stick to the basics of building your mailing list. How do you think some of these "Gurus" started out. Do you think they made a product up and asked a few others to sell it for them?
