I occasionally see on home business forums that someone is tired of trying business opportunities that just don't work. I used to be one of those people. I tried every business under the sun, all to no avail. I finally realized that the problem wasn't the businesses I was trying; the problem was me.

I guess that I was expecting overnight success. After all, isn't that what a lot of these companies try to tell us? They even lead us to believe that we can make money for doing absolutely nothing. They will do all the work for us!

I like to think that I am smarter than that. I like to think that I would never fall for such hype and ridiculous promises. However, I have fallen prey to these offers more than once. Funny thing, though. They never delivered on their promises. Imagine that! Someone making outrageous claims and not delivering on their promise after I sent them my hard-earned money!

I know that many of you have done the same. You ha

ve allowed yourselves to be duped by some unscrupulous creature. They are lurking out there, ready to pounce on those of us gullible enough to believe something that is too good to be true.

That is such a dangerous thing. If we have the mindset of wanting "something for nothing", we open ourselves up to becoming victims. We have to learn that get rich quick, overnight success, and other clich
