With so many new cat and dog websites popping up every day it is increasingly difficult to compete online. If you plan on breaking into the online pet industry you need to be more creative and control every aspect of the operation. You need to make the right decisions from the start or your website will be a waste of time.

#1. Sell real products. Most of the cat, dog and aquarium websites don’t even carry an inventory. They’re just selling to the consumer and having the manufacturer ship direct. Don’t do this.
