Explode your Home-based Business by Leading With your Product, not your Business Opportunity

One of the reasons there is a 95% or more drop-out rate in Network Marketing is because people join without a passion for the product they are selling. They answer an ad that says "Work from home" and are then signed up into a business after being told how much money they can make. Everything looks great on paper, but after a month or two they find themselves with a garage full of inventory they can't sell. Frustration sets in and they end up quitting with sour feelings about multi-level marketing. The blame is placed on the company and the person who signed them up, but the real reason for their failure is that they were not a customer first.

In order to be successful in network marketing, you have to have a personal attachment to the product you are selling. A good indication of this is to ask yourself the following question. "If I could never ever make one more cent on selling my products, would I still consume them on a daily basis?" If your answer is yes, then you ha

ve a better chance of succeeding than even the person who has to stop and think about it. Those who sign up into a home-based business with the sole purpose of making money hardly ever make it past the first three months.

I have been in network marketing for over 11 years and I have tried everything under the sun to build my organization. One year when did over $100,000 in business by signing up people who placed large orders for product inventory purposes. Every single one of those people quit because they did not believe in the products. They "tried" to make it happen, but they were focusing on making money. They were not grounded on the products first.

But it was not just those people who quit. Almost every person who I signed up into my organization for the "business opportunity" only, has quit. You simply cannot be successful if you don't believe in your products, and if you are only joining to make money, it is the wrong reason. OK, I know what you're thinking. The reason people go into busines is to make money, right? The answer is yes, but there is a catch.

We all want to make money. There is nothing wrong with wanting to start a business with the goal of paying your bills and taking care of yourself. The problem with focusing on this in network marketing is that it takes time to build a solid group of dedicated distributors. When it doesn't happen right away, people quit. Especially when prospects are being told they can profit tons of money within the first month. It makes it even more difficult to stick it out when that month is over and they have not moved any products.

Another reason leading with your business accounts for a large percentage of the high drop-out rate is online business systems. Many network marketing distributors feel the need to follow their upline and join these costly systems in order to be a part of a group. These systems push "Work From Home" leads that provide you with over-priced leads of people who also want to make money working from home. When you spend all of your time and money on prospects like this, your business will just churn in an unproductive cycle.

This system is only lucrative for the upline distributor. Not only do they earn money convincing their downline to place large volumes of product for someone else to move, they also make money selling you over-priced leads that may or may not work. They feel alright convincing their already huge downline to keep spending the money to enroll these types of people, using the old "the mosre you buy, the more you will make" promise. The money passes up to them and it is the new person who suffers financially...usually to the tune of several thousand dollars before they quit to cut their losses.

The first thing you need to do before you decide to join a network marketing company is be a customer first. Pay the full price and try the products. Don't ask for free samples because that will only get you a few day's worth of experience. Most companies offer a money-back guarantee,
