Living a carefree lifestyle is the dream of all people around the world and one of the best way to achieve that is through affiliate business. When i first started affiliate marketing a few years back, i am very eager to earn money online quick as i thought this business is just doing some PPC ads and then people will click on the ads and buy the stuff i promote.

I was wrong, i ended up spending a lot of money on PPC and made not even a single sales. I was disappointed at one time thinking that affiliate marketing is a get rich scam! It was until i eventually settled down and tell myself to study this business before i give up that i found that this is a real business and not just any scheme that can make you easy money.

What is it that i have discovered when i study this business that allows me to be a full time affiliate marketer quitting my engineer job and live the lifestyle i am looking for.

1) You need a proper business plan: You have to

list down all the required plan to get started and all your goals that you want to achieve like a normal business you are going to venture in. It is only with proper planning that this affiliate business can be successful

2) You need a correct mindset: The reason why people give up affiliate marketing is because they either treat it as a hobby (PLAY PLAY ONLY) or treat it as a get rich quick scheme and ended up disappointed as most of them did not managed to get rich that quick. You need to tell yourself that this is a REAL BUSINESS and you should treat it as a REAL BUSINESS which needs to be built step by step

3) You need a marketing plan: A successful affiliate business starts with building a hugh list BUT it has to be done step by step. You have to give up on the idea of being able to build a hugh list within a few days (FORGET ABOUT IT), building a good list requires a good marketing plan which consists of traffic generation methods, squeeze page design, autoresponder emails and so on... You have to decide beforehand what marketing plan you want and then stick to it for weeks or even months.

I personally used these three steps to project myself into this business successfully and i hope this has give you a good insight on affiliate business.
