There are so many network services available nowadays. Networks are entities that help in the formation of a group with similar interests and that are looking for some common gains. Different types of networks that exist include business networks, social networks, trade networks, media networks, distribution networks, etc. A new category in the same group is the affiliate network.

Affiliate networks comprise of various resources and members that carry out the marketing exercises called affiliate marketing. Lately, a lot of efforts to promote the affiliate marketing industry have been done by the networks. They can be seen as busy encouraging the people to participate in the process, holding of seminars and convocations and involved in the services that are being provided by them.

In affiliate marketing the growth is directly related to increased participation, be it the web site publishers, the merchants or the advertising agencies. Eventually it is the Internet user or customer that pays the price. Even for him it is a deal worth having.

In affiliate marketing the publishers advertise the products and services of merchants and help them sell. By booking or ordering online, the cost for taking the product from factory to the outlet where a customer would buy is saved. It involves a lot of intermediaries and generally the final price is much greater than the factory price. In order to sell maximum units, the prices offered to affiliates for selling the products is less. As such it is a fair deal for the user as well.

Affiliate network have extended their services to capture potential markets world wide. Some networks do have programs for affiliate and advertisers based in specified regions. However, many affiliate networks have kept the options open and are operating at the global level.
